Hi All,

I have had my Mybook for 7 months and I bought it just to use as an external drive for my Xbox One and had no complaints at all, until now!

Yesterday I went to boot up my Xbox One, but when the lights on xbox was on it left me with a blank screen? I have disconnected the Mybook and the Xbox boots up as it usually does, but as soon as I try it booting from My book it won’t?

Has this hard drive failed and if so can I recover the saved data that is on it?

Hello,

Try connecting the drive to a desktop computer to verify if it still works. It is possible the partition is corrupted and you will have to format it in order to use it again.

How do i format it if it wont show up on “my computer”
