I’m dead in the water here. Why can’t my computer/WD even see this drive? My router sees it and it has a DHCP IP address assigned, but my computer device page doesn’t see it, and when I click on the link to find my device on the WD setup page, I get the Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access / on this server. Error 403, which comes from WD. How do I get past this? So far, if this is going to be the way of the world, this thing is going back. Please help!
Is the front LED on the My Cloud blue?
Have you tried accessing the My Cloud using the My Cloud IP address?
Have you tried a 40 second reset?
Are you using AT&T Uverse or have on of the routers listed in the following WD Support document?
Have you tried turning off the computer’s firewall/security software (if any) and then try accessing the my Cloud?
