Is it possible to back up a 1TB WD drive and I MAC hard dirve with the 3TB WD drive? I would like to move my I Photo library to the 1TB WD drive to make more room in the IMAC hard drive.
I don’t know much about Macs but I’m not sure they all recognize 3T drives. Don’t trust important to just one HD no matter who makes it. The forum is full of people who did that and had problems. Is the drive formatted for Mac now or has this been formatted and used for Windows? The format is different.

If the computer is running Leopard of higher, it will recognize a 3 TB drive, and of course, needs to be formatted using GUID.
