This works. Wd TV HD Player will not read a 3tb drive not even a wd. The solution is to partition the drive to 2 parts at 1.5 tb ea or in 3 parts at 1tb each.his way the player will read the partions separately. I’ve tried it and guess what? It worked!
Hi, I think if you update to the latest firmware it should recognize the 3TB.

That’s correct. The old WDTV HD boxes don’t support 3TB GPT’d drives.
