3TB WD Drive hangs in Windows around 1/3 through

My new WD 3TB Green internal hard disk hangs during transfer of large files.  

Appears to transfer small files but then hangs on attempting to transfer a 4gb file.  It reports that its going to take 2.5 hours.

My motherboard is patched to latest bios version and compatible.

Windows sees the drive as 3TB 

I have formatted as NTFS 

I have tried GPT

I have run the WD Lifeguard Diagnostics tool and it reports all ok

Any help appreciated before I bin the product.

Hello Mate,

That’s rare, have you try connecting your drive in another computer or maybe using a external enclosure just for testing…
