Hi,

Windows 10 doesn’t recognize my WD Passport Ultra, when ever I plug in to my laptop.

Windows explorer creates or tags E: for the disk, but it’s all inaccessible and explorer just spins for ever. Disk Management Tool just freezes over and never comes up to show the layout.

Previously i was using this disk with Mac, without any issue.

Mine is a Dell Inspiron 15-3565. It has 2 x USB3 ports and 1 x USB2 port. I tried it in all of them. Same issue. Laptop has latest drivers - Windows update and Dell assisted driver updates.

I have important data in the disk

Please help.

Have you tried to connect the drive with any other USB cable or with any other computer and check if the issue persist?
