3TB purple and 6TB red not showing the right size in bios

Hi, I’m new and I need some help.

I know this is a common issue with drives over 2TB, but in my case there is a twist, I have a msi b250 mortar motheboard that is uefi compatible and both disk are formated in gtp under win10, but, for example the 6TB red disk only shows 5TB in both the bios and windows (50001.0 on the bios and 4.54GB on windos10). I have the motherboard updated with the lastest drivers and both disk running in ahci.

What I’m, doing wrong? please help me!

Thank you so much!

Hello, Dorohedoro,

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this.

the ‘real’ capacity of a 6TB HDD is 5.58GB … very strange your PC reporting two different sizes

Ok I will, thank you so much!
