3TB My Book External harddrive Swapped

Hi, I’ve bought a 3TB My Book External HardDrive and opened the case, removed it and have only got the USB converter and the HDD itself, I have another 1TB WD HDD that ive swapped for the 3TB HDD to see my other files but it shows up as unallocated. This 1 TB has previously been in an external harddrive box with an usb converter but the usb converter broke and been using it with SATA connection since, but now decided to get another usb converter.

What to do to see the files over usb converter?

Hello, please note that opening your external hard drive case voids the warranty. Custom repairs are not supported by WD, but maybe some of the other users can share some advice.
