I just bought the My Cloud Home 4TB Drive running on Windows 10. Are there any 3rd Party Apps that can be used for backup and file syncing?
My Cloud Home supports the native Windows Backup to the local Public Share.
How about for a Mac? I tried to use my Carbon Copy Cloner program that perfectly backs up to a USB WD hard drive that is connected to my Mac Mini, but trying to back up to My Cloud Home gives me an error stating “CCC cannot write to the destination volume because its contents are inaccessible to the System Administrator user account.”
@stuman74 not familiar with CCC, but the My Cloud Home supports Time Machine to the local TimeMachineBackup share as the “guest” user. Perhaps CCC can do the same (haven’t tried) but I came across an article that may be out of date.
