For some reason my password is not recognized, I know I am typing in the right one because I wrote it down. I cannot find my external hardrive anywhere on my computer. I went to the manual to see how to reset my password and it said I had to erase my external hard drive then reformat it, but it won’t even let me do that. Please some one help me. I haven’t even had this for a month yet.
Hi CJBrady63, welcome to the WD Community. Be sure to enter the password in the same way. The password is case sensitive so that might be the cause of the problem. Install the WD Security for Mac app to see the option of formatting the hard drive.

I have entered my password correctly. I even tried different case letters. It is not showing up in my disk utility either.
