2TB limit on My Book Mirror Edition?

I have a couple My Book Mirror Edition 2x2TB that I use in RAID 1 mode. I just tried to upgrade one of them to 2x3TB using Caviar Green drives but the Mac (running 10.7 Lion) sees the drive as 801GB or so instead of 3TB.

Does the controller of the Mirror Edition have a 2TB limit? 

Does the Studio Edition II 2x2TB have this limit too?

Hello,

The controller of the mirror won’t recognize any other drive besides the original capacity.  I believe the My Book Studio can be upgraded, however for the controller limitation you will need to contact WD technical support directly.  You can do so either by phone or email.
