22 year old fire wire drive

Apologies if this has already been discussed. I’d like to use my 22 year old WD drive. It comes with its own power supply and seems to be working well. I don’t have the 6 pin cable that came with and wondering what are the newest cables needed to see if this thing still works. I was going to buy a thunder bolt to FireWire adaptor along with a 6 pin to 4 pin FireWire. Is that correct? I feel like I’m missing a bunch of stuff including software issues. Any help is great. Thanks !

what are you gonna do with a whopping 30GB (27GB in Windows) hard drive ?

couldn’t even fit a Bluray Disc (50GB) rip on the thing.

if you just want to recover data on it, remove the internal hard drive from the enclosure to see if it IDE or SATA and then connect it to your Desktop PC or a USB enclosure.

I’m just collecting data
