EX4100 or PR4100 for tight budget?

Hello,

I am planning to buy a new storage from WD from external storage to NAS devices. I have short budget for NAS devices as I am student. My chosen product would be WD EX4100. Would it be practical for streaming 4K media and using PLEX at the same time uploading and downloading content from it? or it would be much practical if I just buy the PR4100 diskless? Is 2GB ram enough for activity like movie editing and media streaming at the same time while uploading and downloading content?

Playing 4K videos and using Plex on the My Cloud may lead to buffering of the videos. This is because 4K videos are very large files. Some 4k video files may not playback smoothly regardless of the Configuration. So if you have videos with lesser resolution then you may perform all the tasks at the same time. You should not see any lags with 720p 0r 1080p videos. Also, a 2 GB RAM may improve the performance, but 4K playback may still be affected.
