2 x red drive LEDs - can't access

Hi there. My 1-week old Mycloud mirror has failed already! I get a steady blue power light and 2 x steady red drive lights. Trying to access the dash board gives the message “Power was lost from the system. Performing file system consistency check. Please wait.”

So I waited 48 hours, no change

I’ve tried 4 second reset and 40 second reset

I’ve tried rebooting with disks removed - this leads to a screen asking me to mount disks but it doesn’t seem to recognise them

I can hear at least one drive trying to spin up

WD Support are claiming that both drives have simultaneously failed (I doubt this is even remotely likely) and the unit needs to be replaced. It’s under warranty so that’s fine - I just need to get the data off it. Any ideas?

As you already had a word with our technical team regarding the failure of the drives, In that case for data recovery you would need to contact Third party data recovery companies.
