I have a 2 TB My Book essential usb 3.0.  When plugged into a usb 2.0 port it works fine with one notable exception; when I’m editing an image in Photoshop it will not let me save to it (My Book).  It gives me a warning that the disk is full when there is plenty of room on it.  I can read from it in Photoshop (7.0) but not save my work to it.

BTW running Windows XP Media

Problem #2

I just bought a USB 3.0 card and when I plug in my My Book it isn’t recognized at all. It makes the “Windows noise” but doesn’t show up.  I checked both ports with usb drives and card readers so I know they work fine.  When I plug it back into a usb 2.0, it shows up and works fine (of course with the exception listed above).

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance!

The first problem I’m not sure, you might wanna check on the Adobe forums

the other problem, you can update the drivers for the new USB 3.0 controller
