Can I ask RMA for my 1 To WD10EALX?

Hello,

I have a  1 To  WD10EALX-009BA0 western digital hard drive,

this disk has a problem, the “quick test” and “long test” in “dlgdiag” fail :

when I check the SMART datas I see 2 problems in “Current Pending Sector Count” and “Uncorrectable Sector Count”  sections :

is it enough to ask a RMA replacement ?

I notice also a strange result in HD-Tune benchmark :

that drive won’t survive much longer, so you should certainly get a replacement asap: go ahead and open a RMA ticket!

thanks David,

I have just opened a RMA ticket,

I hope that the reason “Fail diagnostic with dlgdiag.exe” will be accepted by western digital,

this hard disk has also sometimes random low bandwith ( randomly it takes times to copy and read a file )

I have always found WD to be very reasonable about RMAs. Failing dlgdaig testing will surely qualify, as would bad sectors. I don’t think you will have any problems.
