WD1002FAEX - Raid

WD Internal Drives Desktop & Mobile Drives

Season’s greeting to all:

Just purchased two WD1002FAEX 1TB drives from Newegg and a GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R motherboard with the intent of using these drives in a Raid 1 configuration.

Did some research after the purchase and there is some info posted elsewhere that claims this drive is NOT raid capable. WD site is not very helpful!

Any advise and feedback is appreciated.

so, i am going to say that you can do raid (0, 1) but not suggested for use with raid 5, 10, etc

but you said you wanted to do Raid 1, so go ahead.
