12.3GB something in empty partition

windows 10 x64 , WD 1 tera HDD, with GPT partitions

what “space hog” is in my ( empty ) D drive

Why is Windows showing 12.3GB space being used but there are only ($RECYCLE.BIN and System Volume Information) together 129bit

PS.page file and hiberfile seems to be in C:partition

C:pagefile.sys 1 245 184 Kb


The operating system stores temporary files on the second partition even though the operating system is installed on the primary partition. Try accessing hidden files from the (D:) drive to determine if the used space is taken by the system. For this, take a look at the Microsoft article below:
