10TB USB-C disk disconnects

I’m in Windows 10, using a relatively new G-Tech USB-C 10 TB disk, and it’s been an unpleasant experience so far. It sleeps too aggressively, so it’s constantly causing my computer to pause to wait for it to spin back up, and lately it’s a acquired the habit of disconnecting unexpectedly.

Any ideas about how to fix this? I have the power profile set for performance, and there’s no hard disk option that I can find, and I don’t see the option for disabling automatic sleep for disks when on battery. It’s a major problem, because it prevents working.

So… any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks!
