1080i With Netflix?

I am looking to buy a WD TV Live Hub and need to output 1080i. Will the Hub transcode netflix 720p to 1080i?

I am runnig with HDMI.

When you say you nedd to output 1080i what do you mean? is it the TV etc that needs 1080i or you? If its the TV etc then the player will output a 1080i resolution no matter what you play even if the source  is SD or 720p. My player is set to 1080p and I watch DVD’s / low resolution youtube etc on it.

Yes it’s my analog crt video projector that looks best at 1080i. It may be old school but blacks are black.
