I have a current gen WD TV. As all my media is on 1 SMB share, I don’t need the Media Library features to consolidate multiple sources and search. Do I need to run Media Library to get auto lookup and download of movie metadata?
Welcome to the Community.
The Media Library is required in order to automatically retrieve metadata. Additionally, the target network location for the movies to be updated with metadata needs to be a part of the media library.
