I bought my hub a couple years ago…never have been able to get it connected to my wireless router…which is att . the only option my hub gives me is the hard connect …at the moment i am downloading a new firware from the site…is this going to connect me wirless?..the file says2.01.86 (12/10/2013)…wdtvlivgen3_2.01.86
now i download these files its says to extract them and put them on portable usb and load on hub…hub wont reconize it nor will the files open…so lost…
You downloaded the wrong firmware. That is for the Live SMP. The latest for the hub is 3.12.13

- Extract the five files (.BIN, .VER, .FFF, .BI2 and .INFO files) to the root (top level) of a portable USB drive. this is the same file i downloaded …for some reason i do not know what to do with them…

Have you even got a compatible USB Wireless Adaptor for the WDTV Live Hub ?
The WDTV Live Hub has no built in Wi-Fi … attaching a compatible USB Wireless Adaptor will enable the Wireless Settings and Setup

ty joey i think that is the answer i wanted…didnt know if the hub was set up for wifi…now i know and i thank you…i was under the impression when i bought it because i asked the guy selling it to me would i be able to connect hub to my wifi…and of course he said yes…so now i must research this item u say i need…thanks again
