Connecting to the usb storage

My Tv Player stucks at the above message when connecting My book Essential 1 TB, while when connecting wd elements 350 GB hard disk it works fine.

I formated the My book Essential and checked it for errors but also didn’t work.

Note: the My book Essential passed the Quick Smart Status test but failed in the Quick Drive and the Complete Drive tests by the WD smartware.

wd TV player firmware : 2.02.32

My book Essential firmware: 2.018

Any help pls.

Formatted to what file system? ExFAT is not supported.

Formatted to NTFS

The problem was in the external HD, it was fixed by WD format tool and formatting by writing zeroes.
