WDTV Live Gen 3 - Only plays one video file

I have WDTV Live Gen 3 PartNo WDBHG7000NBK.
WDTV is on Static IP 192.168.3.101 and connected via GB Lan Cat 6 hardwired to switch.
Media is on QNAP 4Disk NAS - 192.168.3.5
Media also on Win 2012R2 Svr 192.168.3.2

When I play video (Mkv, Avi, Mp4 etc) form Twonky Media server on Qnap or via windows share from QNAP or Win Svr I can browse to and play the first video AOK.
After playing a video I can browse all folders and see all files however I can NOT play any and just get the spinning orange arrow.
The only way to clear this is to go to settings / system settings / Device Restart.
After a restart I can again play only Video before getting the spinning orange arrow again.
I had this issue previously with a gen 2 box and purchased the new Gen 3.
Have any other members seen this issue and is there a fix.

Does it work normally if these exact same files are on a USB disk instead?

re-tested and same issue on USB connected drive but not as often as NAS connected videos

My guess is that there’s something wrong with the files.

It’s a common thing that when the WD plays a “bad” file, it won’t play anything else afterward.

I can play any file on it’s own - so I do not see that they are bad, they also play correctly on any Computer in VLC, or Gom or other media player I have tried.

I only get problems playing via the WDTV boxes ??
