WDTV LIVE MyBookLiveDuo streaming via pc doesn´t work

Hello,

i´ve got the WDTV Live (seems to be a older model) and the mybook live duo

wdtvlive vs: 1.06.43_V

mybook vs: MyBookLiveDuo 02.43.03-022 : Core F/W

at first: i have no problem to play files from mybook via wdtv (networkshare)

both are connected via cable to a gigabit switch

my problem:

i’m commected to my mybook via pc (win 7 64bit) right clicking any file, for example an mp3 shows in the context menu “wiedergeben auf → WDTV” (nust be smthg like “play on wdtv” in english). if i click it a playlistwindow opens whcih tells me 5 seconds later, that the stream couldn´t be initialised.

if the source file is on my pc or a connected usb drive, it will start the streaming immediately

please tell me how to fixe this problem

Has anything changed on your setup?

Make sure to check firewall and internet security configurations.

Have you tried in another computer?

hi  sorry was a little bit stressed last week

it was never working before … so the setup is untouched

same behaviour with my pc streaming from pc harddisk to wdtv works but not streaming from a nas folder connected to the pc to wdtv

which prpoperties do i have to check on my firewall and on my isecurity config?

edit:  i turned the firewall off, but it doesn’t change anything

for all the guys with the same problem … support gave me a workarround

 it works over windows mediaplayer … so thats ok for me…
