So you have problems with the new update

I have been following the posts since the new update was released.

Now I can understand that some people are getting a bit frustrated but for goodness sake, if you come on to this forum looking for help then at least be courteous to the people who are offering advice.

I’m somewhat shocked at how rude people are to those that actually know what they are talking about and are willing to help.

Just my two bob’s worth.

And FYI - I have not updated as this release offers nothing for me.

Be cool

Slip, thanks for your post. As someone new to all this, I was concerned after reading all the posts about the latest update.  I thought it best to just not update due to my limited knowledge.

Does this pose a problem down the road with future updates ?  And what other problems if any does this bring ?

Thank You…

Hi DarkMyst,

I have skipped fw revisions in the past with no problems at all.

Most manufactures will usually make a note in their release notes if a minimum fw revision is required before updating to latest.

As stated on this board, if you do update any fw - it is good practice to reset the unit before applying to clear out any crud.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your SMP.
