Slideshow fade transition isn't smooth

It’s excellent to have the fade transition available for slideshows, but there’ something odd about its appearance. The fade doesn’t seem smooth. Perhaps the previous photo lingers too long as the new photo is displayed. Perhaps allowing some control of the fade speed could help.

This might also relate to suggestion to provide shorter slide show intervals (0, 1 or 2 seconds in addition to 3 or longer seconds between slides).

Have you tried resetting the device? Does this happens on the previews firmware?
