Projecting my Windows 8.1 screen on WD TV Live

Hi,
I’ve a wireless network setup in which my Dell XPS laptop, Desktop (both windows 8.1) and my WD TV Live are connected.

My WD TV Live is connected via wireless and it can successfully play the shared content of my laptop as well as my desktop. Everything is awesome.

I am also able to project / play the photos and videos from laptop and desktop to WD TV Live by

  1. Selecting the video or image
  2. Right click on video or image
  3. Select “Play To”
  4. Then select “WDTVLive”.

This also works great.

However, I am not able to duplicate or extend my laptop or desktop screen.

Here are the steps that I follow on my Windows 8.1

  1. Swipe right to bring up the charms
  2. Select “Project”.
  3. Select “Add wireless display”.

Nothing shows up while adding a wireless display, “No Device found” message shows up, Next I tried changing the Network setting in WD TV live.

(I see following options listed on the Wireless Network Setup screen)

  1. Previously Connected wireless network
  2. Auto Search
  3. Manually enter the wireless network name
  4. Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS)
    5 Get Windows pairing code

I’ve tried using option 4 and 5. Both of them give me “Windows Pairing Code” to connect to my Windows machine. But when I try to connect it fails. (I’ve tried this many times but still no success).

So I still wonder, how can I duplicate my Windows 8.1 screen on my TV via WD TV Live?

Your help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
