Thanks Strider_Nemasis. I ran the MKV through Mkvmerge and the movie ran through the halt point so your theory looks to be correct. How annoying that Handbrake produces errored mkvs. I’ve probably got a lot of them to fix. Kudos to you.

Header compression has been fixed several firmwares ago, I still turn it off though.
