New WD TV Live output to Composite?

Hi,

I have one of these and I love it.

I am now looking to get another and WD have updated it to the current one.

http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=330

I want to get it but want to connect it to my TV the same way I do my current (old model) one which is composite, there are 2 3.5mm ports, one for RGB and one for audio so I use the 2 leads supplied to connect to the 5 RCA connectors on the back of my TV.

However looking at the pics of the new one there seems to be only one AV port so I was hoping that somebody here could confirm for me that the 2 ports have been replaced with one, if not how can it be composite?

I don’t have digital audio surround… yet!

Thank you

Pete

You’re calling it Composite, but what you mean is COMPONENT.

Component uses three cables for video:  Red, Green, Blue.

Composite uses ONE cable:  Yellow.

(The other Red / White pair are for Audio.)

The WDTV Live Streaming does NOT support Component, only Composite and HDMI.

The Live Hub was the last media player that had Component Video.  None of the later versions do.
