Making .xml with Thumbgen that WD TV Live can use?

Hi there, and sorry for my bad english :stuck_out_tongue:

I want to use Thumbgen for creating metathumbs and .xml files for my TV Shows.

The problem is, that the player can’t use most of the information Thumbgen writes into the xml files.

For example:

This is what the xml looks like, that WD TV Live creates:

and so on…

You see there is a lot of information WD TV Live can’t even show. But the problem is, even the information it could show, is not useable for the device, because of the way it is written in the file. There are a lot of “” tags that WD TV Live can’t work with it seems. Also in “Overwiev” you just see the TV-Show-plot, not the episode-plot.

Is there a way I can make Thumbgen to create just the same .xml files the device itself does?

I think your post is in the wrong forum. This forum is for the 2009 model WDTV Live HD and 2010 model WDTV Live Plus, neither of which have any support for XML files.

The forum for the 2011 WDTV Live Streaming Media Player is here:

Oh, sorry. Can a mod move it?

edit: I fixed my problem. Downloaded a template and changed some options, now it works the way I want.
So just forget about this thread.
