MKV stuttering on WD TV Live

Hi community,

since a few days I‘m trying to convert Blu-Rays into a MKV-Container (x264). When I play the converted MKVs on my PC, everything looks fine. But when I play it on my WD TV Live (WDBHG70000NBK, latest firmware) the movie is stuttering. As medium I tried to play it from a fast USB Stick and from a fast HDD, but the result is the same. For making the MKV-Container I used Handbrake with the setting “High Profile” (without any changes).

Please tell me which settings I have to change for making the MKVs play “stutter-free” from my WD TV Live (or is there a better alternative for converting into x264?). Thanx for your help ahead.

Here are the details from one of my created MKVs:

See this issue:

I don’t know if it was fixed in 1.05.18; I haven’t re-tested it.

Thanx for your answers, but this wasn’t the solution. The MKVs are played from an usb hdd or from an usb stick and because of that, the solution can’t be the mentioned network issue.

Anyone else an idea?

Yes, same problem here with stuttering in most MKVs with WDTV LIVE STREAMING latest firmware 1.06.

NO stuttering at all with my older WDTV live on firmware1.02

This is  with a USB disk. (NOT NETWORK STREAMING).    iso’s, vobs and mt2 are playing fine,.

Anybody know if downgrading to earlier firmware solves the issue?
