I have my WD TV Live connected to a WD My Book Live. On the My Book, I want to keep pictures and video in a common folder for specific home movies/pictures. For example, I may have a file for “Christmas 2005” and will put all the video and pictues in there for that occassion. Now wehne I go into Videos on the TV Live and navigate to “Christmas 2005” all the videos and pictures appear. Can I have a technique where when I am in Videos, only the videos appear and when I am in pictures only pictures appear?
Thw WD Lives just work best when unique media is in separate folders. That’s just the way it is designed.
You should not be seeing any photos when you’re in the “Videos” tab, assuming you’re using Network Shares or local storage.
If you’re using a Media Server, it’s up to the Media Server itself to decide which files are presented to the WD.
Make sure you have MEDIA LIBRARY enabled, and that you’re setting the CONTENT SOURCE to “My Media Library.”
