This is rolling out starting today, just wanted to make sure we’d be able to take advantage of the new feature!

Since it says it replaces the KidZone prompt, I’m guessing it’ll work, as KidZone has worked for a long time. KidZone, IIRC, was added between firmware updates, and a firmware update was not necessary for it to work.
We’ll see!
Yeah my account doesn’t have profiles yet, but I’ll update here once it is and let you guys know if it’s workign on my WD.
Just found this:
which says “The new feature initially will only be available on Netflix’s own website and several other viewing outlets, including the iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Apple TV and some smart TV models. It may take up to two weeks before the profiles choice pops up in these options. Profiles should be available on the Wii console before the end of August and on Android devices before the end of the year. Netflix subscribers who use Netflix on Roku’s set-top box probably won’t be able to use profiles on that device until early next year.”
If it ain’t on Roku until next year, WD probably won’t fare any better.
Wow that would be a huge letdown. I expect it far sooner than the end of the year on WD, but was hoping it would be there right away. I guess we’ll have to wait until somebody wtih the feature enabled tries it on their WD, or somebody from WD chimes in.

Indeed! That’s perfect!
My daughters (6 and 8) were able to find their (kids only) profile easily with the nifty little avatars Netflix lets you assign.
