How can I use copmosite cable on older TV?

Hello,

I have older TV which has component video input (3 colored input RGB) and 2 audio input (Red and White). Can I connect somehow WDTV to TV and get 1080i picture over component cables?

[Mod: Moved post]

Yes – The WD TV included both sets of cables (R/G/B Component video and W/R/Y Audio/Composite Video.)

According to this description ( http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005KOZNBW/ref=pe_385040_30332190_TE_3p_M3T1_ST1_dp_1#productDetails)) it does not come with component cable

How does cables look like in a first place? Are there 2 cables? If they are then where do they fit since there is only one AV output on the back of the unit.

Do you not have both component and composite outputs?

You should be using the component out for video, and then the composite out for your audio. Below is from the manual.

Good Luck

I don’t have other connection. I have only one AV output and that’s it. I have WDTV Live

artisticcheese you have posted in the wrong forum.  (This forum is for the Old Wdtv Live / Live Plus)

You have a “WDTV Live Streaming”  (Note the Pictures at the top of the page)

And No, the WDTV Live Streaming does not Support “Component” Video … only “Composite” (480i,576i) or HDMI (up to 1080p)
