External wireless keyboard not working

I have a Gen3 Model # WDBHG7000NBK-02 and I’m trying to make it work with a microsoft wireless multimedia keyboard 1.1 model # 1014 with no positive result. What is wrong?

Thanks

Wireless keyboards don’t work.

Mine does…  It’s a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000.  The mouse works as well (in the hidden browser.)

Do you have any idea why mine ain’t working?

Not all keyboards (wired or wireless) work.   They just have to present themselves to the host as a standard keyboard that doesn’t require drivers.

That’s probably it.  I have keyboards with “dumb” controllers that are plug and play with PCs.  Others use a propriatary dongle.

I have had very good luck with several Logitech keyboards, all 2.4Ghz wireless with a small usb plug adapters. My favorite is the K260, it’s large but works great on the coffee table or your lap.
