Any way I can play media residing on my Directv DVR? There is a media server running on the device and is recognized by the WD TV Live but won’t play. Anyone have any luck with this? this would be kinda neet to get these incorporated into your WDTV media library.
I’m not sure, but I believe DirecTV’s files are encrypted. So they won’t play back on anything other than another DirecTV box.
Tony is right. DirectTV uses proprietory encryption and the video can only be played on a DirectTV box.
