Backdrops FW 2.02.32

Ever since FW 2.02.32 the device keeps creating Bkacdrop directories even though “Get Content info” is set to manual. Is there a way to prevent this?

It’s been doing that for at least two years.  It’s not new to 2.02.32.

I think if you remove the backdrop tags from the XML file they won’t be created, but I’m not sure at all.

I do all my content mangement via Thumbgen, and as long as I had “Get Content Info” set to manual i was not getting extra folders created.

Ever since 2.02.32 as soon as I highlight the movie while browsing “.backdrop” folder gets created for it.

I’ve had Get Content Info set to manual forever…

Get Content Info has to do with collection of Metadata XML and Metathumb cover art – nothing to do with whether backdrops are downloaded or not.

I have backdrop files going back to 2011 on my NAS —  so this behavior existed at least that far…

not sure that just cause you had them since 2011 proves anything…

Rolled back to 2.01.86 and this annoying problem is gone.
