I just recently changed location to my WD TV Live streamer and connected it via HDMI to Dell monitor (using an HDMI to DVI adapter) and connected a small extrenal speaker using the Analogue out and the ‘stereo’ output setting in WDTV setup.
Up to now i was using HDMI and optical and had no issues.
I am running the latest firmware (2.02.32)
The issue I have is intense static that is always louder than any audio coming through the jack.
This might be a hardware issue, since I get the static even when the WDTV is turned off and the noise stops only when I unplug the device.
The speaker works fine by the way, I have already connected various devices to it and they all sound fine.
