  1. That works to update the theme.  Sorry if my previous answer was convoluted.

  2. The xml file to change the synopsis border & text (gallery view?) is rv_gallery_browse_page.xml.

  3.  I’ll have to look around and compare my theme to the original to see what happen to the dashboard select icon.
