possibility to turn off the rear ethernet port lights

an option in the menu to turn off the ethernet port LEDs (like the option to turn off the front power LED) would be great.

Are you talking about the "Rear" Ethernet port LED on back of the device ?

Is the "flashing" lighting up your wall or the back of your Entertainment Cabinet ?

Try  "Black Gaffer Tape" or "Black Vinyl Adhesive" or a "Black Niko Pen to Color it in"

yes that's what I'm talking about, tape is an option, but  it is easily doable via firmware, I can do this with my Linksys router.

Really?  What linksys do you have?   I have had four different ones and never saw that capability...
