I can’t help you much – I’m a strong believer in turning off the passwords and letting everyone access the shares. This seems to work well with the Live (and, really, what is the harm in your home network? I guess if you have kids you don’t want to see certain things I *might* sort of understand but otherwise it makes no sense to me (since your firewall keeps everyone from the outside from seeing anything). With my setup I’ve never had a share failure (going on six months now).
