WMP 12 play to and FLAC

Will the “play to” feature work with flac? When I try to, it gets stuck on “contacting media server”. Other formats - both audio and video, seem to work fine. 

I’ve installed codecs so the flac files work within WMP 12. It’s just “play to” where I seem to be having trouble.

Any ideas?
