WD TV Live Streaming problem playing large .mkv files

I rippeda video with handbrake once using compression which came out to be 800MB or so and one without that was 5 GB. The 800MB loads up and plays fine, while the 5GB sits with a black screen for a couple mins and then will play sound, no picture. This is running off a hard network connection. The large file plays fine on my regular WD Live plus. Any ideas?

But, to answer, I ahve no problems playing large (30+ GB) MKV files on the WD SMP…

By the way, Handbrake ALWAYS compresses.   You can’t turn it off, so I’m not sure what you mean by that…  Was your “compression off” format done with a different software?
