My 2 year old WD TV Live P/N WDBAAP0000NBK-00 has bricked itself.
I see the following symptoms:
- Initially the problem was noted when on switching off my WD TV Live - my external USB connected WD HD did not not power down
- I tried to switch on my WD TV Live with remote - my remote does not switch the WD TV Live on (power LED stays dark)
- Manually unplugging / plugging in power supply “blinks” the green and yellow LED’s on the Ethernet port
- Nothing shows on the HDMI connect HD TV (no green screens / no nothing - just blank)
- The Power LED does not light up
I have tried:
- Changing the remote batteries - no change
- power cycling the WD TV live - leaving it off for 10+ minutes before reconnecting power - no change
- changing the power supply- no change
- whilst linked to power - pressing the reset button for more than 4 seconds but less than 10 seconds - no change
- whilst linked to power - pressing the reset button for more than 10 seconds - no change
- whilst linked to power - seating the HDMI cable - and reconnecting - no change
What options do I have:
A) BIN device? Replace with what?
B) Send for repair (AU Brisbane based)
