I just experienced my first silent movie, when my _ WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player _ tried to play a movie where the audio is encoded as MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a) according to VLC.
I got nothing but silence. On my PC, VLC plays it fine.
Latest firmware, other movies working great …
Just a heads up 
Hi, mp4a was only supported on the Gen 1 WD TV.
stereo AAC should work, but I don’t think multichannel AAC is supported.
