I downloaded the latest firmware the other day and ever since, whenever I turn the unit on it reboots itself and complies the media library which it never use to do. Any suggestions for starting it up without having to go through this process?
Try resetting to factory defaults via the setup menu and unplugging from power for a few minutes.
What model player do you have. This is the forum for old live / live plus and there has not been a firmware update for a while.
