Organising TV Shows - Media Library

My main media centre is XBMC which runs on a linux box downstairs.  I have bought a WDTV Live to stream content from the box to my upstairs PC.  It works pretty well.

I can’t, however, work out how to show the TV Shows in a better format that 1x01.avi etc.

My folders set up is:

VIDEO

—Movies

------9.avi

------300.avi

------Astro Boy.avi

(etc)

—TV Shows

------Doctor Who

---------Season One

------------1x01.avi

------------1x02.avi

(etc)

---------Season Two

------------2x01.avi

------------2x02.avi

(etc)

------Star Trek (TOS)

---------Season 1

------------1x01.avi

(etc)

You get the idea…

This works perfectly with XBMC - it converts the “1x01” to the appropriate episode name depending on the folder names.

WD TV Live is fine with the Movies, but the media library just ignores the TV Shows.  I have to naviagate thru the folders until I hit the episode I want, although I’ve only got “2x05.avi” to work on.  This isn’t a big issue, but I would prefer the folders to have images, then the season folders to have images, and the filenames to have episode names in the library.

Is there any way to achieve this?

There are several WD TV Live models, what you are looking for may be possible with the LIve Streaming or the Live Hub. You may try updating your WD TV to its latest firmware.
