Here’s a crazy idea: What if _ before _ rolling out firmware updates you could check and see if it will make Netflix not work? And maybe you can talk to the geniuses over at Netflix and see if _ before _they update stuff they could check and see if it will make the hardware not work, too? I know, crazy, right?
well considering that the WDTVLive does not have netflix, never has and never will
I can guarantee that netflix is not broken on the device
so that said, maybe you what to check into what device you actually own
My WDTVLive does, just purchased it from Amazon and it’s there. It barely works but it’s there.
Model Confusion … Again
WDTV Live [released 2009] - Does not have Netflix (KAD79 is correct)
WDTV Live Plus [released 2010] - Does have Netflix
Here’s a picture of the above 2 devices (they are physically identical … but are different)

P.S. This is the WDTV Live & Live Plus forum
WDTV Live Streaming (SMP) [released 2011] - Does have Netflix

SMP Forum is Here: http://community.wd.com/t5/WD-TV-Live-Streaming/bd-p/streaming_discussions
The problem is Western Digital Advertising and Marketing can’t seem to agree on the name of the Gen3 device
Currently there are 4 names for the latest device (which cause customer confusion)
WD TV Live Streaming Media Player (Gen3)
WD TV Live SMP (not an official name … but an abbreviation commonly used)
WD TV Live
WD TV Live Media Player
4 Names for the latest device …
( I have a WDTV Live Hub … so at least they kinda got that right )
