MP4 files play from one HD, not another

I have several MP4 files with MP42 encoding. I can play them off a 750GB Cavalry hard drive. Recently, I purchased a 3TB Western Digital My Book hard drive. The exact same MP4 files which work on the Cavalry drive do not work on the WD drive. The specific error is “Unable to play the selected file. Please refer to the manual for a list of supported file formats”. Note that TS files work fine from both drives.

How is this possible?

Please try updating the firmware on your WD TV and the firmware on your My Book drive.
